Crane-Assisted Large Eucalyptus Removal

A large mature eucalyptus on a residential property in Western Sydney needed to come down after the canopy had become unsafe over a backyard patio. Standard sectional felling would have meant dragging heavy trunk sections through mature garden beds, so we scheduled a truck-mounted Hiab crane to lift the cuts out cleanly — protecting the landscaping and halving the on-site time.

The crew rigged each trunk section, cut above the sling, and the crane swung the timber onto the flatbed in a single lift. Wood chips and smaller brush went through our chipper in parallel, and the property was raked and cleared the same afternoon.

On this property, crane assistance kept heavy timber away from the patio and mature garden beds. It also gave the crew a direct route from the cut to the truck without carrying log sections through the landscaping.
