Tracked spider-lift EWP access for tall eucalyptus work at a commercial site — safer + faster than climbing rigging.
Project notes
A commercial property near Parramatta needed tall eucalyptus maintenance next to a shopfront with limited street access. Climbing access would have meant closing the footpath for the whole day; a tracked spider lift (Platform Basket Evo) fitted through the site’s pedestrian gate, positioned next to the tree, and gave the arborist a stable work platform at canopy height within 15 minutes.
From the basket the crew pruned dead wood, lifted the canopy over the shopfront awning, and removed a declining leader in controlled cuts. Ground crew chipped directly into our tip truck as the cuts came down — no branch piles on the footpath.
Spider lifts are the right tool when a commercial site can’t tolerate the footprint of a cherry-picker truck or the time cost of climbing rigging. Most of our CBD-fringe commercial work runs on a Platform Basket Evo — we quote tree works at retail, strata and hospitality sites across Parramatta, Ryde and Sydney City regularly.

We had a tricky tree trimming job for very large overgrown trees in a small backyard and Dan was able to trim them back to a manageable level while ensuring there was no damage to our house or fence when bringing big branches down. It looks amazing, the canopy is now all in a straight line, there’s so much more light in the backyard and no more leaves dropping into the gutters! They cleaned everything up after and I think the yard is tidier now than before they started. l can’t recommend Dan and his team more highly, and the neighbours have already asked for his card so they can get their trees done!
