A tracked spider lift passed through the pedestrian gate for eucalyptus pruning beside a Parramatta shopfront.
Project notes
A commercial property near Parramatta needed tall eucalyptus maintenance next to a shopfront with limited street access. Climbing access would have meant closing the footpath for the whole day; a tracked spider lift (Platform Basket Evo) fitted through the site’s pedestrian gate, positioned next to the tree, and gave the arborist a stable work platform at canopy height within 15 minutes.
From the basket the crew pruned dead wood, lifted the canopy over the shopfront awning, and removed a declining leader in controlled cuts. Ground crew chipped directly into our tip truck as the cuts came down — no branch piles on the footpath.
The tracked lift suited this site because it fitted through the pedestrian gate and worked within the available space. It also kept branches moving from the cut to the chipper without creating a pile on the footpath.
